ST.
JOHN’S DOWNTOWN REVITALIZATION PROJECT
The City of St.
John, with funding from the Kansas Department
of Commerce & Housing, recently completed a streetscape project in
beautiful downtown St. John. Sidewalks around the downtown area were replaced, brick pavers and brick benches were added. Imbedded within the benches are historic
tiles made by local artisan Carol Curtis Long.
All power lines were buried and four new trees were planted. Volunteer Forester Barry
Ragan revamped the flower beds on the corners of
the square.
