Mayor Owens opened the Budget Hearing At 7:00 P.M.

 

Mayor Owens asked for public comments on the 2013 Amended Budget as published. There were no comments or questions.

 

Mayor Owens asked for public comments on the 2014 Budget as published. There were no comments or questions.

 

Mayor Owens closed the budget hearing at 7:01 P.M.

 

 

Mayor Owens opened the special meeting at 7:02 P.M.

 

Clerk Stanford stated the reason for the meeting.

 

Kevin Davis made a motion to approve the budgeted transfer of $5,000 from the General Fund to Capital Projects Fund-Police.  Seconded by Bob Stimatze. Motion carried 5-0.

 

Troy Hanson made a motion to approve the purchase of the new police vehicle to be paid out of the Capital Projects Fund and the remainder from the General Fund-Police. 50-01-4100 $20,242.39 and 10-12-3180 $2,104.61. Seconded by Mark Bryant. Motion carried 5-0.

 

Troy Hanson moved to approve the request made by Amy Collins for the Farmers’ Market. It will be Thursday evenings from 5:00-8:00 pm beginning July 25 and ending August 29. Requests are: block off Broadway street between 3rd and 4th streets for the hours of 4:00-8:00 pm, extra trash cans available, allow to display a banner and city install and take down the banner, front door of City Hall be open for access to a restroom and confirm liability insurance for the City (no additional insurance needed). Seconded by Shari Williamson. Motion carried 4-1. Kevin Davis voted nay.

 

Troy Hanson made a motion to adjourn. Mark Bryant seconded the motion.

Motion carried 5-0. Meeting adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
