Bid Specs for Contract Mowing

BID SPECIFICATIONS FOR CONTRACT MOWING OF PROPERTY THAT IS IN VIOLATION OF CITY CODE SECTION 8:  ARTICLE 4.

 

Bids close March 18th at 5:00.  City reserves the right to reject any or all bids.  Successful bidder will be required to have $100,000/$300,000 liability insurance.  Successful bidder will be considered an independent contractor and not an employee of the city.  The city is not responsible for damage to contractors equipment or any personal injury caused by work being performed.  Contractor must have heavy duty commercial equipment.  Mowing and trimming will be done on vegetation which is a minimum of 9 inches tall.  Property to be mowed will be designated by the city and shall be mowed within five days of notification, weather permitting.  Bid price will be per hour, to include mowing and trimming.  Contractor must be willing to sign contract with the city.  Contract will be void if work done is not satisfactory or is not done in a timely fashion. Invoicing must be submitted to the City Office within 48 hours of the work completed or the contract may be voided.
